3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking
Journey Overview
Planning a trip can be overwhelming, but we're here to make it easy. Our website offers detailed itineraries, travel tips, and personalized recommendations to ensure your journey is seamless and unforgettable.
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda transfer Bwindi
Transfer: Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and
transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda.
o If arriving from Kigali, the drive to Bwindi takes around 4-5 hours, offering scenic
views of the Virunga mountains and terraced hills.
o If arriving from Entebbe, the transfer will be by road
• Check-in: Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi for check-in and relaxation.
• Afternoon: Optional village/community walk to meet local people, visit the Batwa pygmy
community, or explore the surrounding forest.
• Meals: Dinner included.
• Accommodation: Stay Overnight at Bwindi Forest Lodge on full board
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
• Early Morning:
o Breakfast at the lodge.
o Transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers
on the rules and guidelines for gorilla trekking.
o After the briefing, you’ll be assigned a specific gorilla family and a team of rangers to
guide you through the forest.
• Gorilla Trekking:
o Set off on the trek through the dense rainforest in search of a gorilla family. Trekking
can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas.
o Once the gorillas are found, you’ll have one hour to observe, photograph, and
experience these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
o Rangers will ensure your safety and provide interesting facts about gorilla behavior.
• Afternoon:
o Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation after the trek.
o Optional activity: A guided nature walk to explore the surrounding forest or
birdwatching.
• Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch during the trek, and dinner at the lodge.
• Accommodation:Overnight at Bwindi Forest Lodge on full board
Day 3: Departure
• Morning:
o Breakfast at the lodge.
o Depending on your departure time, you may have the opportunity for an optional
activity like a visit to the nearby local community, or a guided forest walk.
• Transfer:
o If departing via Kigali, transfer back to the city or airport.
o If departing from Entebbe, transfer back by road to Entebbe.
